Michael David Marco has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Michael David started their career at ING Canada as the Vice President of Finance, Planning, and Expense Management from August 2001 to March 2003. Michael David then moved on to Aviva Canada, where they held two roles: Senior Vice President of Finance from March 2003 to January 2005, and Senior Vice President of Corporate Development from January 2005 to October 2006.

Afterward, Marco worked as an Independent Consultant for engagements with Bank of Montreal, Livingston International, and Third Core from March 2007 to July 2007. Michael David then joined Livingston International as the Senior Director of Shared Finance Services from August 2007 to June 2011.

In 2010, Marco took on a part-time role at the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario) as a Session Leader/Moderator for the Strategic Leadership Program. Michael David held this position from September 2010 to July 2017.

From August to November 2011, Marco served as the Interim Director of Finance and Administration at Roots of Empathy, a charitable organization focused on empathy-based programming for children.

Michael David then joined TIC Travel Insurance as the Director of Finance from May 2012 to December 2014. After the merger of TIC Travel Insurance and Allianz Global Assistance Canada, Marco became the Vice President of Finance and CFO at Allianz Worldwide Partners from May 2012 to August 2017.

Since March 2018, they have been working as the VP of Finance and Technology at the Fred Victor Centre, a charitable organization providing support to homeless and low-income individuals in Toronto.

Most recently, in September 2022, Marco joined the Bereavement Authority of Ontario as a Board Member.

Michael David Marco has a strong educational background in finance, accounting, and risk management. Michael David earned their ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors in 2016, with a focus on governance, strategy, and finance. In 2009, they obtained their CPA, CMA designation from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada), specializing in accounting and finance. In 2012, Michael earned a CRMA Certificate in Risk Management Assurance from The Institute of Internal Auditors, focusing on risk management. While it is not specified when they attended, Michael has also completed an MBA in Finance from Concordia University, as well as a B. Commerce degree in Quantitative Methods from the same institution. These additional certifications and degrees illustrate Michael's commitment to continuous education and expertise in their field.
