Ian Ouwerkerk is a seasoned professional in the multifamily real estate sector, currently serving as Senior Vice President of Multifamily Underwriting & Credit at Freddie Mac since January 2008. In this role, Ian leads the credit and underwriting teams across various multifamily business lines, collaborating with Optigo lenders, borrowers, and sales staff to ensure a steady pipeline of high-quality loans. Prior to this position, Ian held several roles at Freddie Mac, including Vice President and Senior Director of Southeast Region Underwriting. Ian's career began at Marcus & Millichap as a Commercial Real Estate Broker in Los Angeles, specializing in multifamily real estate. Ian holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Acadia University, earned between 2002 and 2005.
