Avani Shah Mph

Avani Shah, MPH, is an experienced health educator currently serving as Health Educator II with the Frederick County Government in Maryland since April 2016. In this role, Avani plans, develops, implements, and promotes health education projects to enhance public awareness of health factors and community services, while overseeing the development of relevant health information systems. Previous positions include Coordinator of Education and Outreach II for Preventive Health, where preventive health information was provided to underserved populations, and Emergency Preparedness Coordinator, contributing to Zika Virus readiness efforts. Avani's early career includes roles as Project Coordinator for the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education, Public Health Intern at Pickett Elementary School, and various administrative and tutoring positions. Avani holds a Master of Public Health degree from The University of Toledo and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Scranton.
