Brett Barents possesses a diverse background in both environmental studies and graphic design, holding two bachelor's degrees from Calvin University. Experience includes serving as Facility Attendant Shift Lead and Facility Attendant at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park since May 2022, as well as roles such as Cartography Intern and Building Manager during time at Calvin University. Additional positions include Ecological Restoration Assistant at Plaster Creek Stewards and Summer Camp Counselor at YMCA of the East Valley. Educational foundation includes a high school diploma from Arrowhead Christian Academy.
Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park
One of the world’s most significant botanic and sculpture experiences, Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park serves more than 750,000 visitors annually. The 158-acre grounds feature Michigan’s largest tropical conservatory; one of the largest children’s gardens in the country; arid and Victorian gardens with bronze sculptures by Degas and Rodin; a carnivorous plant house; outdoor gardens; and a 1900-seat outdoor amphitheater, featuring an eclectic mix of world-renowned musicians every summer.
