Sila Ertas

Sila Ertas has a diverse and extensive work experience. Sila started their career in 2007 as a Freelance Web & Graphic Designer and worked in this role until December 2021. In 2008, they also worked as a Video Director for free-lance photography projects. In 2009, they began working as a News Reporter for BirGün Gazetesi and remained in that position until 2015. From 2011 to 2015, they also worked as a Journalist for Yeşil Öfke. In 2014, they joined BirGün Media as a News Reporter and worked there until 2015. Sila then took on the role of Director in a freelance capacity for a few months in 2018. In 2019, they became a Documentary Filmmaker for Voice of America. In 2022, they joined Yeşil Gazete as a News Reporter. Finally, in 2016, Sila Ertas became the Company Owner of Şana Yaşam Köyü, where they created an alternative village that promotes ecological and artistic living through nature exploration trips and cultural activities. Sila continues to work in this role presently.

Sila Ertas's education history is as follows:

From 2006 to 2010, Sila Ertas attended Kadir Has University and obtained a degree in the Faculty of Communications. Their field of study was Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication.

In 2009, they enrolled at Anadolu University and completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree. Their field of study was Business Administration and Management, General, and they graduated in 2013.

In 2015, Sila Ertas participated in the Yaşam Boyu Eğitim Programı at Kadir Has University. Their field of study during this program was Televizyonculukta 5N1K.

In 2010, Sila Ertas briefly attended ISIS Greenwich School London to study English.

From 2011 to 2012, they enrolled in the Mizgin Müjde Arslan - Gültekin Tetik Cinema School, where they studied Cinematography and Film/Video Production.

Additionally, Sila Ertas has obtained various certifications. In 2021, they completed the Tale Therapy program at Bilginet Akademi Sertifika Programları. In 2019, they received a Field Guide certification from the T.C. Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı. In 2015, they obtained a Kundalini Reiki certification from Okan Sönmez. In the same year, they also completed the WH Questions of Television / Televizyonculuğun 5N 1K'sı program at Cüneyt Özdemir DipNot Academy.

Moreover, Sila Ertas has participated in various other certifications and programs. In 2009, they took part in the "IAA ad contest (subject: Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture)" organized by Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture. Additionally, they completed the Personal Image, Applied Body Language, and Career Choice and Career Planning programs at Kadir Has University in Istanbul in 2008.

Lastly, they were involved in the D-Arge project, a documentary channel, for their university graduation thesis at Kadir Has University.
