Joe Shields

Joe Shields has a diverse and extensive work history. Joe is currently working as a Senior Data Engineer at Free Market Health, starting in 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Data Warehouse Architect at Data Ideology, LLC from 2019 to 2021. From 2015 to 2019, Joe held the position of Data Engineer at TeleTracking. Before that, they worked as a Business Intelligence Engineer at West Penn Allegheny Health System from 2013 to 2015. At UPMC, Joe held multiple roles including Systems Analyst from 2011 to 2013, Research Systems Specialist from 2008 to 2011, and Systems Programmer Analyst from 2005 to 2008. Their responsibilities in these roles ranged from creating data systems and managing data to building websites, developing databases, and writing views and stored procedures.

Joe Shields completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Sciences and Technology from Penn State University from 2000 to 2005. Joe also obtained the SnowPro Core Certification from Snowflake in August 2020.
