Somewhere between "share a fun fact about yourself" and the third post-it note activity, Alec and Lisa looked at each other and decided to just build the thing they'd actually want to attend — teaching the things they'd actually want to learn.
Free Period is a welcome break from the client grind. Unconventional workshops for creative teams. Human skills that get talked about constantly and taught almost never: presenting, confidence, feedback, momentum, resilience, and taste.
We're Alec Jankowski (Creative Director, Highdive) and Lisa Savage (Group Creative Director, Consultant) — roughly fifteen years each on the agency side. We built Free Period because most creative training we've sat through was designed by someone who has never actually made anything.
The sessions:
Make the Pitch Your B*tch — How to Give Great Work the Sell It Deserves
Confidence Is a Craft — How to Create Instant Bravado
Kill "I Like It" — How to Give Trajectory-Changing Feedback
The Unfair Playbook — How Top Creative Companies Manufacture Their Own Luck
Welcome to The Jury Room — How to Hone and Harness Taste and Judgment
Scar Tissue — How Surviving Everything Makes You Invincible

Always both of us. You always leave with tools you can use today.
Transparent pricing on the site. No trust falls. No three-day off-sites. No certifications. Just two CDs who still do the work, running sessions for teams that still give a damn.
