Ruth Kronenburg

Ruth Kronenburg serves as the Executive Director of Free Press Unlimited since May 2011, leading an organization dedicated to safeguarding journalists and ensuring the availability of independent information. With extensive experience in media management, Ruth has successfully spearheaded transcontinental projects focused on media viability and press freedom advocacy. In addition to the role at Free Press Unlimited, Ruth serves as Treasurer and a member of the Executive Steering Committee for the Global Forum for Media Development and holds a board position at the Transnational Institute. Previous roles include Interim Director at Radio Zamaneh and General Manager at 625 TV Productions and TVBV. Ruth's background also includes ownership of a media recruitment business and a managerial position at Endemol Entertainment. Educational qualifications include a Propedeuse in Communications and Business Administration from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
