Ed Niblett has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry. Ed started in 1997 as an artist at Rebellion, and later worked as an artist at Activision UK from 2000 to 2003. From 2003 to 2006, they worked as a freelance/contract animator for various companies. Ed then joined Factor 5 as an animator from 2006 to 2008. In 2009, they worked as an animator at White Harvest. From 2010 to 2011, they were a co-founder and technical director at QWRkii, where they worked on the development of the Kubrik app. Ed joined Hive Media Inc. in 2011 as an engineer, focusing on C# programming and Unity3D game development. In 2012, they worked as a programmer at SiXiTS Inc before joining Linden Lab the same year. At Linden Lab, they served as a software engineer and senior software engineer, working on projects such as Sansar and Patterns. Since 2019, they have been working as a senior programmer at Free Range Games.
Ed Niblett's education history begins in 1993 when they enrolled at UCL. Ed completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, which they pursued until 1996. Subsequently, in 1996, Ed enrolled at Teesside University to pursue a Master of Science degree in CAGTA. Ed successfully completed this program in 1997.
