Jacob van Rooyen

Jacob Van Rooyen is an accomplished gaming industry professional with extensive experience in production and development. Currently serving as Senior Producer at Blackbird Interactive since November 2022, Jacob has also held the position of Director of Product Development at Plateau Games since November 2017. Previous roles include Competitive Gaming Producer and Live Development Producer on FIFA at Electronic Arts from September 2019 to November 2022, as well as Senior Producer at both Mikutech and Big Viking Games, where a focus on player feedback and game iteration was emphasized. Jacob has also contributed to community management and quality assurance at Antic Entertainment and has experience in tax preparation and team coordination in earlier roles. Educational qualifications include degrees in Business, Economics, Human Resource Management, and Project Management from Fanshawe College. Jacob is recognized for founding the IGDA London Ontario Chapter, showcasing a commitment to fostering community within the gaming industry.
