Free Wheelchair Mission
Tess Stansbury is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in program management, fundraising, and education within nonprofit organizations. Currently serving as Senior Programs Manager at Free Wheelchair Mission since December 2016, Tess previously held roles including Fundraising Coordinator at Austin Tan Cerca de la Frontera, where fundraising initiatives achieved record-breaking amounts, and Curtis W. Meadows, Jr. Social Enterprise Fellow at RGK Center for Philanthropy and Community Service, conducting impact evaluations for HIAS Ecuador. Tess's background also includes positions in administration and teaching at the University of Texas at Austin, Mainspring Schools, and community organizations, as well as international volunteer work in Peru. Educated at The University of Texas at Austin with a Master's Degree in Global Policy Studies and holding dual Bachelor's degrees in International Studies and Spanish from West Virginia University, Tess combines academic expertise with practical experience in the nonprofit sector.

Free Wheelchair Mission is a humanitarian, faith-based nonprofit that designs and manufactures cost-efficient, durable wheelchairs for individuals living with a disability in under-resourced nations. In collaboration with a network of like-minded partners, Free Wheelchair Mission has distributed more than one million wheelchairs to those in need in 93 countries around the world, providing renewed dignity, independence, and hope through the gift of mobility, at no cost to the recipient. Free Wheelchair Mission is currently on a mission to provide their next million wheelchairs by 2025.
