Manuel Schiappa Pietra is the current President & CEO at FreeBalance Inc. and has over 25 years of experience in the software industry. Pietra has a long history of working with various software companies in a number of different capacities.
Pietra began their career in 1990 as the Managing Director of QDATA Group. Manuel then moved on to Baan in 1993, where they served as Vice President Process Industries & Vice President Latin America Region. After five years with Baan, Pietra took on the role of Managing Partner at NOMIGO Inc. from 2004 to 2006.
In January of 2002, Pietra became the President and CEO of Descartes Systems Group (DSG). DSG is a provider of network logistics solutions (Value Added Networks, Supply Chain Management and Supply Chain Execution systems), and was publicly listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and NASDAQ. Pietra held this position until December of 2004, when they took on their current role as President & CEO of FreeBalance.
