Allan Jude

Allan Jude is an experienced FreeBSD Engineering Manager at Klara Inc since June 2018, specializing in FreeBSD and OpenZFS development as well as professional services and support. As a FreeBSD Committer since May 2014, Allan focuses on Universal Config Language (UCL), ZFS, libxo, and bhyve, while also contributing as a Core Team Member responsible for guiding the project’s direction. Previous roles include Chief Architect at ScaleEngine and lead systems engineer at Waygoz, along with experience as a professor at Mohawk College and CEO of Thunder IT Consulting Inc., where Allan managed extensive Unix server operations. Allan co-created and hosted the TechSNAP and BSDNow podcasts, further showcasing a strong background in technology and education. Allan holds a degree in Network Engineering & Security Analysis from Mohawk College.
