Lindsay Acker

Lindsay Acker is an experienced professional with a focus on strategy, philanthropy, and policy impact. They served as the Director at Freedman Consulting, LLC in 2022, where they partnered with foundation leaders to drive systemic change on issues such as economic mobility and climate policy. Lindsay co-founded the NYC Mayor's Public Engagement Unit, where they held roles that included Program Director for Housing and Homelessness, significantly enhancing access to housing resources. They also played a pivotal role in reducing veteran homelessness in New York City, contributing to the city’s historic certification for ending chronic veteran homelessness. Additionally, Lindsay co-founded the Muslim-Jewish Forum of Detroit, fostering interfaith dialogue and collaboration.
