Trainer of Boat Operations at Freedom Boat Club

Marlowe Sonksen has a diverse work experience in the maritime industry. Marlowe started their career in 1985 as a Marine Patrol Officer at the Maine Marine Patrol, where they served in various roles, including Specialist, Sergeant, and Lieutenant of Special Services. During their time at the Maine Marine Patrol, they gained extensive knowledge and expertise in marine law enforcement. In 2012, Marlowe joined the National Association of Boat Law Administrators (NASBLA) as an Instructor and Subject Matter Expert, contributing to the training and education of boating law enforcement professionals. In 2015, they transitioned to Freedom Boat Club, taking on the role of Trainer of Boat Operations, where they continued to share their expertise in the safe and efficient operation of boats. Throughout their career, Marlowe has consistently demonstrated their dedication to the maritime industry and their commitment to ensuring boater safety.

Marlowe Sonksen obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Iowa, specializing in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography. This educational endeavor took place from 1980 to 1984.
