Michael Orr has extensive work experience in the banking and financial industry. Michael is currently working as the VP Commercial Lending at Freedom First Credit Union since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Wells Fargo for several years. At Wells Fargo, Michael held various positions including Commercial Relationship Manager, Senior Business Relationship Manager, Regional Bank Private Banker, and Senior Financial Specialist. Michael also worked at Wells Fargo Advisors as a Brokerage Associate. Throughout their career, Michael has demonstrated expertise in acquiring, managing, and growing account relationships with business customers, performing financial analysis and underwriting, and forging strategic partnerships with clients.
Michael Orr received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing Management from Virginia Tech in 2001-2005. Michael then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Radford University from 2007-2009. In 2010-2012, they studied Accounting at Furman University, aiming to obtain a Pre Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification. Later, from 2014-2015, they attended the Management Institute at Roanoke College. Lastly, in 2017-2018, Michael earned a Certificate in Commercial Lending from Wells Fargo - College of Commercial Credit.
