Steve Townsend

Steve Townsend is a seasoned Information Technology professional with diverse experience spanning over 19 years. Currently serving as an Information Technology System Administrator at Freedom Oil Company since April 2023, Steve previously worked as an Activity Contract Technical Representative with the US Navy. In a prior role at CDW•G, Steve held the position of Team Lead for San Diego Area SMIT, overseeing a team responsible for the management of Navy-Marine Corps Intranet network printers. Steve's expertise also includes administering the Risk Management Framework program while serving as an ISSM for the US Army and designing data center environments as a Delivery Engineer and Consultant at CDW•G. Steve's military background includes a decade of service in the US Army, focusing on communications systems and personnel management. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Network Operations and Security from Western Governors University and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Computer and Information Systems Security from Western Technical College.
