Sjoerd Bakker

Sjoerd Bakker is an experienced team lead and senior researcher at FreedomLab, a think tank focused on future scenarios, since November 2018. Sjoerd Bakker founded Sjoerd Bakker Research and Consultancy in March 2014, which will operate until January 2024. Prior to this, Sjoerd Bakker worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the OTB Research Institute at TU Delft from February 2011 to April 2015 and completed a PhD in Innovation Studies at Utrecht University from November 2006 to February 2011, focusing on hydrogen energy systems. Earlier roles include working as a researcher/consultant at the European Centre for Digital Communication and involvement with the MICC Cycling Team. Educational qualifications include a PhD from WTMC, an MA from the University of Twente, and initial studies in Chemical Engineering at the same institution.
