Julia Uyttewaal

Julia Uyttewaal is an experienced professional specializing in research and evaluation, currently serving as the Director of Research and Evaluation at FreeFrom since July 2022. Prior roles include Data and Research Senior Manager and Research Manager at Washington University in St. Louis, where responsibilities encompassed human rights and migration research, as well as leading operations in the Center for Human Rights, Gender and Migration. Julia Uyttewaal has a strong background in gender issues, having worked with organizations such as UC Berkeley's Human Rights Center and Asylum Access, providing research and training on sexual and gender-based violence. Julia co-founded Kiron France, supporting refugee students through partnerships, and has also contributed to various consulting projects in the nonprofit sector. Julia's academic qualifications include a Master’s Degree in International Development from Sciences Po and a Bachelor of Science in Geography from the University of California, Berkeley.
