Brian Bucklew has a long and varied career in the software engineering industry. Brian began their career in 1995 as an intern at IBM, where they worked on OS/2 Warp. In 1996, they were an intern at Sunshine Software and a software engineer at FlyteComm, where they maintained aircraft-tracking software. In 1998, they co-founded ScriptLogic and served as its Chief Software Architect, responsible for the product architecture and team leadership. In 2007, ScriptLogic was acquired by Quest Software, and Bucklew continued their role as Chief Architect of the Desktop Authority product line. In 2012, Quest Software was acquired by Dell, and Bucklew became a Principal Software Engineer. In 2016, they founded Unormal Technologies, an expert software development consultancy. In 2017, they co-founded Legible Government, LLC, which provides easy-to-use, cost-effective cloud-based solutions for government relations professionals. Finally, in 2020, they became the Chief Technology Officer at WindRate.

Brian Bucklew is currently enrolled at Florida Atlantic University. Brian has obtained eight certifications from various online platforms, including edX and Coursera. The first certification was obtained in July 2015 for Introduction to Bioethics from edX. Brian then obtained three certifications from edX and Coursera in May 2015, followed by another certification from Coursera in April 2015. In March 2015, they obtained two certifications, one from edX and one from Coursera. Finally, in September 2014 and August 2014, they obtained certifications from Coursera for Cryptography I and Our Energy Future, respectively.
