Andrea Lemoins is an experienced librarian and community organizer with a strong background in outreach and advocacy. Currently serving as an Adult/Teen Librarian and Outreach Coordinator at the Free Library of Philadelphia since June 2021, Andrea leads outreach activities to connect community members with library resources and compiles reports for the Office of Commonwealth Libraries. Previously, Andrea worked as a Community Organizer for the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation, focusing on asset-based community development through grant initiatives. Additionally, Andrea has held roles such as Union Organizer for AFSCME, Coalition Organizer for Portland Jobs with Justice, and Policy Coordinator/Organizer for Restaurant Opportunities Centers United. Academic qualifications include a Master of Library Science from PennWest Clarion and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
