Kate McKenzie

Kate McKenzie has a diverse work experience in the field of product management, strategy, and execution. Kate is currently working as a Senior Director of Product Management at Freenome since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Exact Sciences as a Senior Director of Strategy & Execution from January 2022 to June 2022. Kate has also held various senior director positions at Roche, including Head of Strategic Programs & Portfolio Management from April 2019 to December 2021, Strategic Program Management Lead from February 2017 to March 2019, and Project Leader from December 2014 to January 2017. Before joining Roche, they worked as a Senior Manager of Business Development at Roche from July 2012 to November 2014. Kate started their career as a Senior Life Science Specialist at L.E.K. Consulting from September 2010 to June 2012.

Kate McKenzie earned their B.S. with High Distinction in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Rochester in 2005. Kate then went on to obtain their Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of Washington from 2005 to 2010. Additionally, they completed a Technology Entrepreneurship Certificate from the University of Washington - Michael G. Foster School of Business from 2006 to 2009. Prior to their undergraduate studies, they attended Minnetonka High School from 1997 to 2001.
