Reinier Meester

Director, Health Economics, Outcomes Research & Modeling at Freenome

Reinier Meester's work experience begins with their current role as an Adjunct Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine since September 2023. Before that, they worked at Freenome as the Director of Health Economics, Outcomes Research & Modeling starting in May 2022. Prior to that, Meester served as an Assistant Professor at Erasmus MC - Evaluation of Screening from September 2020 to April 2022, where they also held the role of Senior Research Fellow from January 2017 to August 2020. Reinier began their career as a PhD Candidate at Erasmus MC - Evaluation of Screening in September 2012, completing their studies in December 2016. Reinier Meester holds a VWO degree in Natuur & Gezondheid from Christelijk Gymnasium Utrecht, which they obtained from 1995 to 2001. Reinier then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Econometrics and Operations Research from the University of Amsterdam, completing it from 2002 to 2007. Following their bachelor's degree, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics at the University of Amsterdam from 2007 to 2009. Reinier then attended Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 2009 to 2010, where they obtained a minor in Philosophy and Religious Studies. Lastly, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Health Sciences from Erasmus University Rotterdam, completing it from 2012 to 2016.
