Cody Zimmerman

Cody Zimmerman has a diverse work experience that spans multiple roles in the field of software engineering. Cody is currently working at Freeosk as a Software Engineering Manager, where they lead the Data Engineering team and is responsible for the Data/Services roadmaps. Prior to this, Cody served as a Lead Software Engineer at Freeosk, where they worked on individual contributor tasks and led the development of a new Event Driven Architecture. Before joining Freeosk, Cody worked at Connexus Credit Union in various roles, including Software Engineer, Applications Programmer, ERP Programmer, and Helpdesk. In these roles, they were involved in developing microservice architecture, creating full-stack applications, and providing technical assistance and support. Additionally, Cody has experience as a Chinese Language Tutor at the UWSP Language Lab. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and the capability to bridge gaps between software and data teams.

Cody Zimmerman obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in International/Global Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, where they studied from 2010 to 2015. During their time there, they also pursued Chinese Studies at Peking University from 2013 to 2014. In addition to their formal education, Cody has obtained various certifications including AWS Learning: Serverless from Amazon Web Services in December 2022, Apache Airflow Fundamentals and Astronomer Certification DAG Authoring for Apache Airflow from Astronomer in August 2022, and Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3 from Microsoft in May 2017.
