John Allen

John Allen has a diverse work experience in logistics and supply chain management. John is currently working as the Vice President of Logistics at Freepoint Eco-Systems since October 2023. Prior to that, they worked as an Adjunct Instructor at Sul Ross State University starting from January 2020.

Before that, John worked at Nouryon as the Domestic Logistics Team Manager from October 2019 to September 2023. John was responsible for managing overall domestic transportation for North America, including rail, trucking, and ISO movements. John also served as the Rail & Bulk Truck Team Manager, where they managed logistics shipments across North America and led the implementation of rail and truck transportation management systems.

John also has experience in the energy industry, working at World Fuel Services as a Senior Manager of Logistics from September 2015 to May 2019. John was responsible for the operations and management of crude and refined product rail fleets, as well as negotiations with rail carriers and stakeholder management.

Prior to that, John worked at Shell in various roles, including Rail Contract Manager and 3rd Party Warehouse Manager. John managed rail transportation activities for Shell's downstream business, ensuring compliance with HSSE standards and leading a team of transportation and logistics analysts. John also had experience in warehouse management and global logistics excellence implementation.

Earlier in their career, John worked at Dow Chemical as a Senior Supply Chain Improvement Specialist, where they focused on optimizing supply chain costs and improving operational efficiency. John also held roles as a Crude C4 Planner and Site Logistics Engineer, where they led planning activities and performed root cause analysis for logistics failures.

John started their career at Pepsi Beverages Company as a Production Supervisor and Sanitation Supervisor, and they gained valuable experience in these roles.

Before that, they worked at Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway, where they held roles as Mechanical Foreman II, Mechanical Foreman I, and Corporate Management Trainee.

Overall, John Allen has a strong background in logistics and supply chain management, with experience in transportation, warehouse management, planning, and optimization.

John Allen has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Texas Tech University - Rawls College of Business. John also holds a Graduate Certificate in Leadership from Texas Tech University. In addition, they have a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University. John has also obtained certifications in 49cfr from Nouryon and is a Six Sigma Green Belt Project Leader certified by Dow.
