Chris Clayton

Chris Clayton, PE, currently serves as Vice President of Engineering and previously as Operations Engineering Manager at Freeport LNG since September 2021. Prior to this role, Chris held various positions at McDermott International Inc., including Field Engineering Manager for the Freeport LNG Project, where leadership of a multidiscipline team focused on solutions during the construction of a three-train LNG plant. Previous experience includes roles at CB&I as Project Engineer and Contract Development Manager, overseeing project scopes, negotiations, and engineering designs, as well as serving as Project Engineer and Structural Engineer at Brown & Gay Engineers, where structural solutions for transportation projects were developed. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Structural Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
