Angela Roach

Angela Roach is an accomplished Chief Geologist at Freeport-McMoRan, with over a decade of experience leading geology teams at major mining sites, including Tyrone and Chino Mines. Responsibilities have included overseeing mine geology teams, managing preparations for new pit openings, and supervising geology operations and quality control processes. Previous roles include District Environmental Coordinator at the Arizona Department of Transportation, where Angela Roach ensured environmental compliance, and Hazardous Materials Planner, managing environmental safety and regulatory compliance. Angela Roach holds a PhD in Geological Sciences from Brown University, an MS in Geology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and a BS in Geology from Northern Arizona University.
