Upasna Kothari

Upasna Kothari, Ph.D., is a Senior Geomechanical Engineer at Freeport-McMoRan, having advanced through various roles since June 2017. Prior experience includes internships in geomechanical and geotechnical engineering at Freeport-McMoRan and research positions at the University of Arizona, where responsibilities ranged from coordinating engineering projects to conducting laboratory experiments. Upasna holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Mining and Geological Engineering, a Master's in Biosystems Engineering, and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from the University of Arizona. Academic contributions also include teaching assistant roles and research efforts focused on fracture mechanics and bioengineering applications.
