Dr. Julia Cloat

Dr. Julia Cloat currently serves as the Associate Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction at Freeport School District 145 since July 2020 and is an Adjunct Professor in the College of Education at Northern Illinois University since January 2019. Previously, Dr. Cloat held the position of Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Huntley Community Unit District #158 from July 2014 to July 2019, overseeing PreK-12 literacy and social studies curricula. Other roles include RtI Facilitator and Literacy Coach at Kaneland School District, along with teaching positions in third and fourth grades and as a Challenge Teacher for gifted students. Dr. Cloat holds an Educational Specialist degree, a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, a Master's degree in Elementary Education, and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, all from Northern Illinois University or Aurora University.
