Ed Dickson

Ed Dickson is an experienced manager with over 15 years in the field, including 12 years focused on FEMA Region IV programs and projects. Currently serving as an Associate at Freese and Nichols since June 2018, Dickson provides critical support for FEMA Risk MAP program initiatives and manages on-call requests for a strategic FEMA Cooperating Technical Partner. Prior to this, Dickson worked as a Project Manager and Engineering Department Manager at AECOM, overseeing activities for FEMA Map Mod and Risk MAP programs and contributing to significant flood insurance studies. Earlier career roles include Manager at LandDesign, Project Engineer at Watershed Concepts, and Engineering Technician at Trigon Engineering Consultants. Dickson holds a Master’s degree in Water Resources Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the State University of New York Cortland.
