James Naylor is a seasoned professional in environmental engineering with a strong background in water treatment. Currently serving as Principal and Vice President at Freese and Nichols since March 2018, James also holds the position of Water Treatment Discipline Leader. Previously, James was involved in local governance as a member of the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Environmental Conservation Commission in the Town of Flower Mound from October 2017 to September 2022. Prior to these roles, James worked at Alan Plummer Associates, Inc. for 18 years, where responsibilities included Practice Leader for Water Treatment Design and Senior Project Manager. James holds both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Texas Tech University, completed between 1995 and 2000.
