Gene Lewin has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Gene started their career as a Programmer at IBM in 1984 and later worked as a Sr. Systems Analyst at Jones Lang Wootton. After that, they served as an IT Consultant/Programmer in Independent Consulting and then took on the role of Director of IT at M. H. Segan and Co. for a significant period of time. Gene then joined Digital Railroad as a Contract Systems Engineer before being promoted to Senior Infrastructure Engineer. Afterwards, they worked as the Manager of Technology and Development at the Television Bureau of Advertising. In 2011, they became a Senior Project Manager at STRATA. Most recently, they held the position of Director of Custom Solutions at FreeWheel, where they were responsible for the SpotBuySpot group. Additionally, they served as the Executive Director of Global Product and Engineering Operations at FreeWheel, where they managed a team and provided process, coaching, and actionable business intelligence to enhance collaboration between product and engineering.
Gene Lewin earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Princeton University, completing their studies from 1980 to 1984. Gene later pursued their passion for music and obtained a Master of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music between 1989 and 1991. Additionally, Gene holds a certification in Project Management (PMP) from the Project Management Institute, obtained in May 2013.
