Matthew Katz has over 20 years of experience in the digital media industry. Matthew is currently working as the Senior Director of Global Marketplace Quality at FreeWheel since June 2019. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Revenue Operations and Account Management at Group Nine Media from April 2017 to April 2019. Before that, they held the position of Senior Director of Ad Operations/Sales Operations at Univision Communications Inc. from November 2015 to April 2017.
Earlier in their career, Matthew worked at Turner Digital/CNN where they served as the Senior Director of Digital Ad Operations/Client Services from May 2008 to November 2015. Matthew also has experience working at Maxim Alpha Media Group / Dennis Publishing as the Senior Director of Ad Operations and Client Services from October 2005 to May 2008. Additionally, they worked at WebMD as the Senior Ad Operations Manager from August 2004 to November 2005, and at Mediaplex as the Senior AdOps Tech Services from July 2003 to August 2004.
Matthew started their career at American Greetings as the Digital Advertising Manager from March 2001 to July 2003. Prior to that, they worked at Discovery Communications as the Online Ad Integration Specialist from August 1999 to March 2001. Throughout their career, Matthew has demonstrated strong leadership skills, successfully managing teams and implementing advertising campaigns for various platforms and companies.
Matthew Katz completed a 12-month Executive Development Program in 2011 through the Turner Corporate Leadership Development Program. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Binghamton University School of Management. Additionally, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree through the New York City Program at the same institution. Matthew has also obtained several certifications, including BRAND SAFETY OFFICER from Brand Safety Institute, Edge Academy Certified: Marketing Foundations from The Trade Desk, Trading Academy Certified - Professional from The Trade Desk, Trading Academy Certified – Connected TV from The Trade Desk, IAB Digital Marketing and Media Foundations Certification from IAB, IAB Digital Media Sales Certification from IAB, and IAB Digital Ad Operations Certification from IAB.
