Kelsey Duncan has a diverse work experience beginning in 2013. Kelsey started as an Intern - Web Developer at ItSupport Miami, where they updated and enhanced the website and online ticketing system. Kelsey then worked as a Programming Team Member at Thinkplay, a music tech startup founded by Cornell students, to improve the software for the user interface. In 2014, they interned at Azara Healthcare, where they created an MVC web application for reporting the jobs that run on a daily basis and all of their components. Kelsey also worked as an AEW Facilitator at Cornell University, leading weekly workshops for the Intro to Computing using Python course. In 2016, they began working at Ultimate Software as a Software Engineer, where they built a Node.js API gateway directing traffic to distributed system of >100 Java Spring microservices. Kelsey also architected and implemented features including API authentication, business rules setup, and data ingestion tools using TypeScript, Node. In 2020, they began working at UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) as an Engineering Curriculum Developer. Finally, in 2021, they began working at FreeWill as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer.

Kelsey Duncan began their educational journey in 2008 when they graduated from Miami Coral Park Senior High with a High School Diploma. Kelsey then attended Florida International University from 2011 to 2012, studying Engineering. In 2012, they enrolled at Cornell University and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Engineering - Computer Science in 2016. During their time at Cornell, they also participated in a Global Education program at the Semester at Sea/Institute for Shipboard Education in 2015. In April 2021, they obtained an Advanced Design Patterns: Design Principles certification from LinkedIn.
