Kam Taunk

Kam Taunk has over 37 years of work experience in various roles related to regulatory compliance and engineering. Kam is currently working as the Sr. Compliance Engineer Lead at FreeWire Technologies, responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance requirements for EV-chargers. Previously, they worked as the Sr. Principal Regulatory Compliance Engineer at Neato Robotics, where they managed regulatory compliance certifications for robotic vacuum cleaners. Kam also has experience working as an Associate IT Service Desk Specialist at the County of Santa Clara, configuring hardware and software for voting stations. Kam Taunk spent a significant portion of their career at Cisco Systems, where they held the position of Sr. Compliance Lead Engineer/Technical Program Manager, managing EMC compliance for switches and routers. Kam also worked as an Associate Engineer at Adept Technology, performing testing and verification of robots, and as a Sr. Lab Specialist (Lead) at IBM, conducting failure analysis on disk drive controllers.

Kam Taunk obtained an Associate in Science Degree in Electronics from Mission College between 1979 and 1982. From 2000 to 2019, Kam completed the Cisco Training Program, focusing on problem solving, decision making, leadership, effective writing, time management, UNIX, and TCL. Between 2013 and 2019, Kam attended EMC Workshops and Seminars, specializing in EMC theory, test setup and debugging, and mitigation techniques, with a focus on visualization of electromagnetic fields, suppressing EMI, and mitigating ESD during early design stages. From 1984 to 1996, Kam participated in IBM Skill Dynamics, where they acquired coaching for team effectiveness, interpersonal-negotiating skills, and insights on leadership. This program also covered customer and supplier relations, business economics, and database management. Currently, Kam is enrolled in Security Centric, Inc. without a specified degree or field of study from 2021 to 2023.
