Rehman Noormohamed

Rehman (Rem) Noormohamed is a Partner in the Tech & Data Law Group at Fieldfisher since December 2020, with an extensive background in technology and data law spanning several prestigious organizations. Currently, Noormohamed is actively involved with UKTIN as a member of the Standards and Semiconductor Expert Working Groups and serves as the AI Regulation and Ethics Lead. Additionally, since November 2022, Noormohamed has been a core member of the UK Information Commissioner's Office Technology Advisory Panel and holds the position of Industrial Professor at the University of Bristol. Previous roles include Partner at Acuity Law, DWF LLP, and Michelmores LLP, along with advisory positions at Ofcom and Blake Morgan LLP. Noormohamed is pursuing a Ph.D. at the University of Bristol, focusing on legal, regulatory, and engineering design risks associated with fully autonomous safety-critical AI systems, with prior academic qualifications from the University of Oxford, the University of Exeter, and the University of Bath.
