Sam Bacurin

Sam Bacurin is a Senior Design Engineer at Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation, where experience includes progression through various design engineering roles since February 2020. Prior to this, Sam worked at Accuride Corporation as a Research Engineer, focusing on developing pre-treatment processes for aluminum semi-truck wheels to enhance paint adhesion and corrosion resistance while maintaining a high-quality finish. Additional experience includes a Mechanical Engineer Co-Op/Intern role at Accuride Corporation, contributing to multiple projects and responsible for progress reporting and presentations. Sam began a career in the workforce at Papa John's International as a Nighttime Driver Safety Coordinator while pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Evansville, graduating in 2019.
