Theodore T. Sand studied microbiology as an undergraduate at the University of Minnesota. Theodore then went on to pursue a Ph.D. in biochemistry at the same school. After completing their doctorate, they worked as a postdoctoral fellow in immunology at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation.
