Matthew Ballin has a diverse work experience in various roles. Matthew started working as a Desktop Support Analyst at Pacific Gas and Electric Company in 1991 and worked there until 2000. In 2001, they joined the Fremont Union High School District as a Theater Director, teaching theater arts and coordinating school events. From 2003 to 2021, Matthew worked as an Associate Artist at The Livermore Shakespeare Festival. In 2015, they also became an Adjunct Faculty at Ohlone College.

Matthew Ballin's education history includes several notable achievements. Matthew obtained a Teaching Credential from Project Pipeline between 2001 and 2003, focusing on the field of Education. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree with an emphasis on Theater Arts and Acting at The Ohio State University from 1988 to 1991.
