Gretchen Carson

Gretchen Carson is an experienced professional in economic development and business recruitment, currently serving as the Director of Business Recruitment at the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance since August 2021. Prior experience includes significant roles such as Economic Development Specialist and Existing Industry Manager at Mecklenburg County, Project Manager for Existing Industry at Monroe-Union County EDC, and Director of Existing Industry at Union County Partnership for Progress. In these positions, Gretchen has focused on building relationships with existing industries, addressing issues faced by manufacturers, and assisting with expansions and relocations. Additional contributions include serving as a Board Member for the French American Chamber of Commerce Carolinas since 2010 and previously as the Executive Director for the French-American Chamber of Commerce. Educational qualifications include a degree in International Business from UNC Charlotte and studies at the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma.
