Ellen Casey

Deputy Vice President, Language Center at French Institute Alliance Française

Ellen Casey has held various roles in different organizations throughout their career. Their most recent position was at FIAF - French Institute Alliance Francaise, where they worked as the Deputy Vice President of the Language Center starting in September 2020. Prior to this role, they served as the Administrative Director of the Language Center at FIAF from June 2015 to September 2020. Before joining FIAF, Ellen worked at DonorsChoose.org, where they started as an Operations Associate in April 2009 and was later promoted to Purchasing Manager in October 2012. At DonorsChoose.org, Ellen was responsible for managing purchasing operations, including forecasting, vendor management, and overseeing ordering breaks. Ellen also played a key role in integrating Amazon.com as a preferred vendor. Ellen's earlier experience includes working as an Associate Instructor at Indiana University Bloomington from August 2005 to May 2007.

Ellen Casey has an extensive education history in the study of French literature. Ellen began their academic journey at Chatham High School from 1995 to 1999. Following that, they attended Skidmore College from 1999 to 2003, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in French. Ellen further pursued their education at New York University, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in French literature from 2003 to 2005. Lastly, Ellen completed their education at Indiana University Bloomington, earning another Master of Arts degree in French literature from 2005 to 2007.
