French International School of Oregon
Daniel Gomis is a dedicated physical education teacher at French American International School since September 2021. Prior to this role, Daniel Gomis had experience as a professional basketball player with Taranaki Mountainairs in New Zealand, where leadership on defense was a key contribution during the season. A background in sales at Nike added customer service and product knowledge skills, while coaching at YMCA of the USA involved managing youth athletes and honing instructional capabilities. Daniel Gomis also competed as a student athlete at Oregon State University, where a commitment of over 20 hours per week was made to the Division I men's basketball team. Daniel Gomis holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Oregon State University, earned in 2015.
French International School of Oregon
The French International School of Oregon is a preschool through 8th grade independent school with an internationally-focused curriculum. We are one of the largest independent schools in the Portland area, with a current enrollment of over 500 students. Our preschool through grade five is full French immersion, whereas language options are expanded at the Gilkey International Middle School. Middle School students choose instruction in English or a partial immersion experience in one of the following languages: French, German, Spanish, or Mandarin Chinese. All middle school students are required to also study one of these languages at a beginner level.
