Joseph Wakeling

Joseph Wakeling has over 18 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Joseph is currently serving as the Head of Engineering at Frequenz since January 2019. Previously, they worked at Sociomantic Labs as a Software Team Lead from January 2015 to December 2018, and as a Software Developer in 2014. Before that, they were a Postdoctoral researcher at Politecnico di Torino from October 2012 to October 2013. Joseph also worked as a Software consultant at Toucan Systems Ltd from February 2012 to August 2012, and as a Publications Coordinator at CREATE-NET from February 2010 to December 2011. Joseph has further experience as a Postdoc at Institut Jean Nicod, University of Fribourg, and visiting postdoctoral researcher at University of Warsaw, Poland. Joseph completed their PhD in research using physics-based approaches at the Department of Physics, University of Fribourg, Switzerland, from October 2001 to October 2006. Joseph also worked as a visiting researcher at the ISI Foundation in 2005.

Joseph Wakeling completed their education with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Imperial College London, from the years 1997 to 2001. Joseph then pursued a higher degree in Physics at Université de Fribourg - Universität Freiburg, where they obtained their PhD from 2001 to 2006.
