Christian Apel

Christian Apel serves as the VP and Global Head of Market Access, Health Economics & Political Affairs in Medical Technologies at Fresenius Medical Care, a position held since January 2012, with a progressive career in health economics and market access across various senior roles. Prior to Fresenius, Christian Apel completed a PhD research sabbatical at Universität Witten/Herdecke and contributed to the Grönemeyer Medical Group from 2005 to 2010 as a member of the management team and head of innovations management. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in International Health Policy & Health Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science, a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Durham University, and ongoing PhD studies at Universität Witten/Herdecke focused on Interventional Pain Therapy Cervical Spine.
