Mario Sophia

Mario Sophia, CPSM®, MBA, serves as the Regional Procurement Director for LATAM at Fresenius Medical Care since April 2020, overseeing procurement operations for a leading multinational in hemodialysis services. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Procurement Manager at Petronect, where strategic e-procurement solutions were developed, and several positions at Shell, where Mario led materials management and logistics procurement initiatives across Brazil and Colombia. Notable achievements include significant cost savings during procurement processes and managing teams to execute high-value projects. Mario holds multiple advanced degrees, including an MBA in Logistics from FGV and a Bachelor's in Production Engineering from Cefet/RJ, in addition to specialized training from Stanford University and Harvard Business School in supply chain management and disruptive innovation.
