Ingo Elfering

CEO at Fresenius Netcare

Ingo Elfering is the current CEO at Fresenius Netcare. Prior to this, they were with Bayer Crop Science from September 2018 to July 2020, where they were CIO, Head of Digital Transformation and Member of the Crop Science Executive Leadership Team. In this role, they had global responsibility for all aspects of Information Technology across Bayer Crop Science's core and emerging business platforms to transform the function by establishing the digital platforms, decision science, customer services and modernization efforts to advance growth.

During their time at Bayer Crop Science, Elfering was also a member of the Crop Science Executive Leadership Team and Global Information Technology Leadership Team. In these roles, they helped develop and execute the global digital strategy and roadmaps across all major functions of Crop Science's business: Commercial, Supply Chain, R&D, and Digital Farming. Ingo also expand technology-based agronomic services for growers around the world through Small Farmers initiative and data enablement of The Climate Corporation platform. Furthermore, Elfering implemented modern IT technologies and skills including Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, cloud-based compute services, open source technologies, micro services, analytics, and Agile / Scrum methodologies across core business processes and customer interactions.

Ingo Elfering has a background in leadership from The Wharton School, business informatics from the University of Münster, and business informatics from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Dortmund.
