Ingo Elfering

Ingo Elfering has extensive experience in the healthcare and IT industries. Ingo currently holds the position of Group/Global CIO at Fresenius Group, a leading healthcare company. Prior to this, Elfering served as Group CIO and CEO of Fresenius Digital Technology.

Before joining Fresenius Group, Elfering worked at Bayer Crop Science as CIO, Head of Digital Transformation, and a member of the Crop Science Executive Leadership Team. In this role, they were responsible for transforming the company's IT function and developing a global digital strategy across various business functions.

Elfering also served as Chief Information (CIO) and Innovation Officer at Indivior, where they led the demerger of the company from Reckitt Benckiser and oversaw global IT operations.

Additionally, Elfering held various positions at GlaxoSmithKline, including VP Disruptive Innovation, VP Business Transformation, Chief Architect and VP IT Strategy, VP Global Application Services, and VP eBusiness and Global eIT. In these roles, they played a key role in driving innovation, implementing global IT strategies, and optimizing IT service delivery.

Earlier in their career, Elfering worked as General Manager at DHS-MedicalData Service, where they focused on delivering innovative healthcare solutions across the EU. Ingo also founded and served as CEO of MedicalData Service, a company that developed software solutions for physician office administration.

Ingo Elfering attended the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Dortmund from 1987 to 1991, studying Business Informatics. Ingo then proceeded to the University of Münster from 1991 to 1995, also studying Business Informatics. Finally, from 2003 to 2005, they completed a CPD degree in Leadership at The Wharton School.
