Sheila began their career as a caseworker for the Department of Social Services in their hometown of Buffalo, New York. Sheila then went on to work for Union Settlement, a nonprofit organization that provides social services to residents of East Harlem, as the Associate Executive Director of Early Childhood & Youth Services. In this role, they oversaw a team of three program managers and 24 after-school program directors, and was responsible for ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Sheila also developed and implemented objectives, measures, and reporting metrics for the organization's after-school programs.

Sheila is a strong advocate for social and economic justice, and has dedicated their career to helping underserved populations in New York City. Sheila is passionate about their work and takes great pride in making a positive impact on the lives of others.

Ms. Sheila Wilson-Wells holds a Ms.Ed in School Counseling from Alfred University and a BA in Psychology from the State University of New York College at Old Westbury.
