Rodolfo Umana

Rodolfo Umana has a diverse work experience spanning several roles in the IT industry. Rodolfo currently serves as the Regional IT Director CECAB at Del Monte Fresh Produce N.A., Inc, starting in November 2020. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of IT at ASECCSS from August 2017 to November 2020, where they led a team of 30+ engineers and managed multiple IT projects. Rodolfo also worked as the Development and IT Director at Cecropia Solutions from February 2015 to February 2017, overseeing technology operations and infrastructure. Before that, Rodolfo held the position of Director of IT at ACORDE from July 2007 to January 2015, where they were responsible for IT strategic planning and managing teams and contractors. Rodolfo also served as a Consultant and Owner of Legend-IT, a software company specializing in applications for the financial and banking sectors, from July 2007 to November 2012. Rodolfo's early career includes roles as a Project Manager at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where they led SAP support and implementation projects, and as an IT Manager at ACORDE.

Rodolfo Umana has a diverse education history. Rodolfo completed a CIO Certificate Program in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management at Carnegie Mellon University - Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Computer Sciences from Universidad de Costa Rica UCR from 2003 to 2005. In 2014, Rodolfo Umana attended Vlerick Business School for a course on Digital leadership, and in 2013, they completed the CIO Programme on the Strategic Management of IT at the National University of Singapore. Rodolfo'seducational journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering from Universidad Latina de Costa Rica from 1999 to 2002, followed by a Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA in Business Administration from Universidad de Costa Rica UCR from 1994 to 1998. Alongside their formal education, Rodolfo Umana also obtained additional certifications, namely Project Management Professional PMP from Project Management Institute in 2006, SAP FICO Certified from SAP in 2005, and ITIL Foundations from AXELOS Global Best Practice in 2005.
