John Davies

John Davies is a highly experienced legal professional currently serving as a Senior Advisor at Brunswick Group since May 2019, and as a Partner in the Antitrust, Competition and Trade Group at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP since 1988. Notable representations include advising Comcast on competition and regulatory strategies for major acquisitions, such as its £22 billion bid for Sky TV and its $66 billion bid for 21st Century Fox, as well as providing guidance to Anheuser-Busch InBev on the global competition strategy surrounding its $108 billion acquisition of SABMiller. Earlier in his career, John worked as a Case Officer in the European Commission's Directorate-General for Competition from 1981 to 1983. John Davies holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Bristol.
